Company director, Richard Bennett, started our business in 2016 as an offshoot of his original construction company, which he founded in 1979 and continues to run as a very successful operation. Jackson Clark is exclusively devoted to carrying out property refurbishments, small or large in scope, with particular emphasis on insurance claims work.

So, you may wonder, who is Jackson Clark? Well, it’s Richard himself – just using another name! When it came to naming his property maintenance company (which, by the way, he hopes will continue to grow and become the main arm of his building business interests), our enterprising proprietor decided to draw on a practice followed by many writers who use “pen names” rather than their given names. These names often come from combining their middle name with their mother’s maiden name.

This idea appealed to Richard, as applying this criterion meant he came up with Jackson Clark, which he feels “has a good ring to it”.

A decade or more in and our company has proved there is a great deal of pride and value in that improvised name. Jackson Clark has become a leader in the field of residential and commercial property repair and refurbishment from Western-super-Mare across the nearby city of Bristol, and a wide swathe of north Somerset, north Wiltshire, south Gloucestershire and south Wales.
